The CLR Founders Club offers just 12 places each year, singles or couples, on a live global expedition aboard a quality, ocean-ready yacht.
No staged marinas. No “same day, same sunset” loops. This is the moving reality of life at sea, backed by the comfort of a well-found vessel and the guidance of a captain with 35+ years on the water.
Learn. Practice. Experience.
This is not a spectator’s seat.
You’ll work the lines, set the hook, plot the course, and stand a watch.
You’ll gain hands-on mastery in:
Docking, anchoring, and close-quarters handling
Weather routing and passage planning
Galley management and provisioning underway
Systems checks, engine monitoring, and troubleshooting
Night navigation and watch rotation
Seamanship you can’t learn at a dockside course
Choose your style: bring a chef for full culinary service, or step into the galley yourself for hands-on cooking at sea.
On more challenging passages, a second captain may join, offering fresh perspectives and insights.

Every day underway counts toward U.S. Coast Guard sea service requirements for your OUPV or Master’s license. Whether you pursue it now or years later, you’ll leave with not only skill and confidence, but documented progress toward a credential that opens both personal and professional horizons.

Each year’s manifest is limited to 12 voyages—one couple or solo traveler per slot.
